COLLAGE is an arts venue in San Pedro that opened in July 2021.

The mission of COLLAGE is to serve both the local and broader community with programs that are adventurous yet accessible. This is done by taking an expansive view of art that can include the visual, performative, culinary, and literary world, and making culture inclusive to consider ethnicity, affinity, ability, and emerging ways people are brought together. COLLAGE builds relationships with artistic and cultural communities and provides a space where they may come together to teach, learn, and entertain.

  • Saturday Mornings Rock at Collage!

    SATURDAY, JANUARY 20, 10 AM

    Love rock music enough to get out of bed and play it? We’re opening for rock jam sessions on selected Saturday mornings. These will be conducted by Mark Warnholz, who will coach those who would like some practice and instruction for the first hour. After that, the more experienced are welcome to join in and show their chops. We have a house drum kit and a few loaner guitars and basses, but ask you to bring your own if you have one or play something else.

    SATURDAY, JANUARY 20, 7:30 PM

    Composer and saxophonist Nick Gomez sold out Collage on his previous visit, and we’re delighted that he’s returning with his crack ensemble of musicians. Nick brings a characteristic grit and funk to the smooth jazz style, as well as winning showmanship that makes his rare shows real events.

  • Eddie Navega + Fine Folk feat. Eva Luna Smith

    Fine Folk is a trio that wraps songwriter Eva Luna Smith’s lyrically enigmatic songs in ethereal harmonies, and on their most recent visit to Collage they sold out the show. Singer/songwriter Eddie Navegna will open the show.

  • LA Classics & Pop Ensemble

    SATURDAY, JANUARY 27, 7:30 PM

    Led by music historian and multi-instrumentalist Sonia Lee on piano, this quartet encompasses jazz and classical music, which they play with lyrical virtuosity. Today’s program will include pieces by Claude Bolling, George Gershwin, and other masters from the last century of music.

  • Peppino & Aleza D’Agostino

    SUNDAY, JANUARY 28, 7:30 PM

    Famed guitarist Peppino D’Agostino wowed our audience with his acoustic wizardry on his previous visit, and he’s back with a surprising collaborator – his daughter Aleza. She’ll sing on a mix of standards, original work, and music from the old and new world.

    The LYRIS QUARTET, described as "radiant... exquisite... and powerfully engaged" by Mark Swed of the LA Times, is one of the most sought after ensembles on the west coast. Equally at home with standard quartet repertoire and the music of today, Lyris has premiered countless works and has been involved in numerous commissions by some of the most exciting composers of our time.

  • Magic Strings Eastern European Concert & Wine Tasting Afternoon

    SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 3, 4 PM

    Magic Strings is a unique, dynamic, and accomplished group of musicians performing on traditional instruments from Ukraine and Eastern Europe. Their repertoire ranges from traditional Balkan songs, original compositions, and well-known classics, performed on instruments like the domra (similar to a lute), balalaika, and Ukrainian accordion known as a Bayan.     Mystery Show presents Sunday Over Share, a one of a kind interactive story telling experience that will grab you by every nerve. The audience and the comedians will organically create the show together as the night unfurls. An evening of deeply honest twisted humor, surprising secret stories, and heartfelt laughter shared by all.

  • Latin Jazz with Yocoya

    FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 9, 7:30 PM

    Yocoya plays original music inspired by the sounds of Mexico, Cuba, American blues, and the Modern Jazz era. The group blends the harmonic and improvisational concepts of Jazz with the rhythms and textures of Latin American music to create compositions that are sophisticated and melodically driven. The group is composed of Angelo Velasquez (drums, composer, leader), Kosta Kutay (sax), Josh Wong (Piano), Keelan Walters (guitar), and David Reynoso (Bass).

  • Bobby Spencer & the Vista Street Jazz Workshop

    After a massive stroke and subsequent medical issues, it was thought that award winning saxophonist and composer Bobby "Hurricane" Spencer would never recover his musical prowess. But over on Vista Street in Hollywood, six professional musicians dedicated their time and talent to bringing this Living Legend back onstage.

  • February Open Jazz Jam – come and play!

    WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 21, 7 PM

    Catch a groove as we play through jazz standards and free jams for two hours of creative improvisation. We have a piano and drum kit, and a house guitar and bass, and welcome all sorts of instruments. The jam will be led by Grant Hungerford, a trumpet player who studied at Juilliard and the Manhattan School of Music and has performed with the LA Philharmonic. Grant was professor of Trumpet at UC Santa Barbara and is also a private teacher, and he knows how to work with students at all levels.

  • Chazzy Green, the Funky Saxman

    Mojo Monkeys is the labor of love of three highly regarded Los Angeles musicians: singer/drummer David Raven, bassist Taras Prodaniuk, and guitarist Billy Watts. Their music is swampy yet intelligent, rootsy yet original, eclectic, danceable, humorous, and soulful.
